About the Practice
Dr. Phelan Thomas graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry in 1985. He completed the Postgraduate Program in Esthetic Dentistry at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry in 1997. He is general member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, a member of the American Dental Association and a member of the National Dental Association. He has attended numerous continuing education programs given by the American Society for Dental Aesthetics, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry. He is a published author and the first dentist in the state of Iowa awarded Diplomatic status by the American Board of Aesthetic Dentistry (a minimum of 250 hours of continuing education in cosmetic dentistry related courses were necessary along with the successful passing of a 500 question examination and the review of ten personal cases by current society members to achieve this distinction).
