Dr. Gary Ellenbogen graduated from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island with a Bachelor of Arts degree, and received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Georgetown University Dental School in 1979. After graduating from dental school he worked for the Health Department in Newport, Vermont for one year providing dental services to the underprivaleged residents of the area. In October of 1988, after working as an associate dentist, he began his own practice in Falls Church, Virginia which grew rapidly making it necessary for him to move to his current location. Dr. Ellenbogen merged his practice eleven years later with Dental Associates to form the largest group practice in Northern Virginia. Dr. Ellenbogen has been a member of the American Dental Association and the Northern Virginia Dental

Society since he began practicing dentistry and has been an active member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry since 1995. This is where his special interest lies. He has taken thousands of hours of continuing education courses in order to keep current with the ever-changing technology in dentistry. Dr. Ellenbogen has studied under internationally renowned dentists Dr. Wiliam Dickerson, Dr. Ross Nash and Dr. David Hornbrook among others. He maintains a full-time practice dedicated to exceptional cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry. His insistence upon using the best labs and materials contributes in creating outstanding results for his patients. The desire for optimum results has also led him to become an Invisalign (invisible braces) provider, which can be used as another modality of treatment in cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Ellenbogen relies upon cosmetic imaging with pre and post smile imaging so that his patients will know what to expect even before their teeth have been touched. The foundation of excellent cosmetic dentistry , Dr. Ellenbogen believes, is based upon close communication between the lab, the patient and the doctor. Dr. Ellenbogen has been married for 21 years and has two daughters. His interests include golf, horseback riding, and landscape photography.
