Richard Sipes

About the Practice

Dr. Sipes enjoys all aspects of dentistry. His philosophy for caring for his patients is simple; to follow the golden rule. Treat others as you would want to be treated. Dr. Sipes feels very strongly that each patient should receive personal attention because each person has special needs according to their situation.

Dr. Sipes is a 1984 graduate from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry. He went on to complete a one year advanced hospital residency program in Louisville Kentucky. He moved to Ventura California, where he practiced until moving to Vancouver in 2000.

Dr. Sipes achieved his Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry in 1990. In order to obtain a Fellowship in the Academy, a dentist must be an active member for three years, pass an arduous comprehensive written exam, and attend a minimum of 500 hours of continuing education in various areas of dentistry.

Dr. Sipes went on to obtain his Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry in 2003. The Mastership requires a dentist to be a Fellow in the Academy and complete an additional 600 hours of continuing education, 400 hours of which must be "hands on" courses. Only 1300 dentists in the United States have obtained their Mastership in the Academy.

In 2002, Dr. Sipes received the California Academy of General Dentistry's "Dentist of the Year" award.

Dr. Sipes is also a Fellow in the Pierre Fauchard Academy and was inducted into the prestigious American College of Dentists.

Dr. Sipes continues to further his knowledge and skills in advanced dental techniques by attending numerous courses in all fields of dentistry.
