About the Doctor
I graduated Hastings HS with honors in 1978. My childhood passion of competitive swimming led me to the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire where I graduated Cum Laude in 1982 with a BS in Biology and Chemistry. In 1987, after completing my dental education, I joined the private practice of Dr. Ken Sorensen where he and I continue to be passionate about dentistry and education. I have been married for 20 years to my wife Susan. We have lived on Medicine Lake for the past 12 years enjoying all that lake living has to offer our family. We have 2 children, a son and daughter, both actively involved in the Wayzata School system. Our family has been heavily involved in numerous youth sports including hockey, football, lacrosse and tennis.
Education
- Graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 1986
- Received the Certificate of Merit from The Academy of Oral Medicine in 1986
- Completed my Residency at University of Minnesota Hospital in General Practice
- Completed 2 years of orthodontic training from 1987-1989
- Awarded the Fellowship Award from the Academy of General Dentistry in 1994
- Completed the 150 hour Cosmetic Dentistry program at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 1997
- Studying at the world renown Pankey Institute in Key Biscayne, Florida. Completed over 160 hours of training.
