About the Doctor
Dr. Shane Nelson graduated in 1989 from John F. Hodge High School in St. James Missouri. He received his B.S. in Biology and Chemistry from Southwest Missouri State University in 1993. In 1997, Dr. Nelson graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry obtaining a Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree. After graduating, he worked as an associate dentist until opening Dental Design in Janurary 2002.
Dr. Nelson has completed numerous courses of continuing education in the areas of cosmetic and neuromuscular dentistry.He is a graduate of the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI).
In August of 2002 Dr. Nelson was invited to become a clinical instructor for the Las Vegas Institute.While maintaining a private full time practice he travels 4 to 5 times a year to teach dentist from around the world in the areas of cosmetic and neuromuscular dentistry.
