Joseph Barton

Dr. Joe Barton attended the University of Florida and earned his Bachelor of Science in Microbiology in 1981. He then continued his studies in Gainesville and received his dental degree in 1986. That same year Dr. Barton opened his own private practice in Jacksonville, Florida. Since then, he has continued to stay up-to-date in the constantly changing field of dentistry to ensure that the guests in his practice benefit from his knowledge and expertise.

In 2004, Dr. Barton was one of the first three dentists in the country to earn the Mastership Award in Neuromuscular Aesthetic Dentistry from the Las Vegas Institute of Advanced Dental Studies (LVI). The Mastership program requirements are rigorous, detailed, and time consuming. For Dr. Barton, it represented the ultimate proving ground for his continuing education and enhanced skills. Previous to the mastership award, Dr. Barton completed courses in advanced functional aesthetics, comprehensive aesthetic reconstruction, full-mouth reconstruction, coronplasty, and neuromuscular dentistry.

Dr. Barton has always had a keen interest in health, fitness and personal growth. Through teaching and instructing, he is able to share his interests and knowledge while furthering his own mental, physical and emotional development.

After so many years of continuing his own education, Dr. Barton is now giving back to his profession and teaching other dentists. He is a current instructor at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, where he teaches courses on aesthetic dentistry, posterior restorations, occlusion, neuromuscular dentistry, full mouth reconstruction, and smile designs. By teaching advanced dentistry techniques to other dentists, Dr. Barton is able to continue to improve his own technique as well as the skill and precision of his highly competent team members. Dr. Barton's passion for dentistry ensures his students (and his guests) an experience that inspires trust, confidence, and personal empowerment.

When not performing dentistry, Dr. Barton is still having fun. He loves the outdoors and has a passion for physical fitness. An avid runner, cyclist, and swimmer, Dr. Barton has participated in many triathlons, marathons, and adventure races.
