Dr. Richard E. Gervais was raised in El Paso, Texas and moved to Houston in 1975 to attend dental school at the University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston. Having been awarded a very competitive scholarship, he entered the United States Navy Dental Corps following his graduation in 1978 to fulfill his obligation. He returned to Houston in 1981 to begin a private practice in dentistry. Since then, he has attended the L.D. Pankey Institute, an elective advanced-learning institute, taking courses to ensure his knowledge and skills are constantly expanding. His practice remains one of the most technically advanced restorative practices in Houston.
He is a member of the Southwestern Society of Oral Medicine, the Southwest Prosthodontic Society, the Greater Houston Dental Society, the Texas Dental Association, the American Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
