Kenneth Hovden DDS

About the Practice

Dr. Ken Hovden is a 3rd generation San Franciscan and a 2nd generation dentist. Both his mother and father are dentists along with his sister who is a practicing orthodontist. Growing up in San Francisco Dr. Hovden attended St. Ignatius College Preparatory. Dr. Hovden graduated from Stanford University with honors and dual degrees, a B.S. in Biology and a B.A. in Social Science/Political Science. He attended the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry where he received the Gene Dixon Student Leadership Award, and was awarded membership in the two top scholastic honor societies. Dr. Ken Hovden then practiced dentistry with his father until his retirement .

Dr. Hovden always strives to be the best. He has been a faculty member at University of the Pacific School of Dentistry for over 21 years teaching in the endodontic department. He has served on the Executive Board of Directors of the school’s Alumni Association for over 12 years. A strong commitment to always be at the top, Dr. Hovden has trained with leading experts in the fields of cosmetic dentistry, full mouth rehabilitation, bite force control, TMJ therapy, implants and advanced endodontics. Dr. Hovden has authored articles for national dental publications. Dr. Hovden has been awarded Gold Medals by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry at their last two annual meetings for his outstanding cosmetic dentistry.
